100% cotton chenille in knit/crochet is held single stranded for the Chen Char (char woman hat), the Cloche (cuffless), and the Button Up. Several subtle rows of patterning come with all 3, or the Cloche can be plain. A second thread is carried along with the chenille for the 2x's and adds body and warmth to the hat. 2x's have either a matching second strand or a contrasting one for a tweed look. Cuffed hats, unfolded are approx. 10 1/2" long. Cloche is 8 1/2". |

Single strand crochet in an airy gauge lets the cloche breathe so well it can even be worn in warm weather. Plain, or with a touch of patterning and a tiny scallop along the edge.

Sizing is easy: lightly and repeatedly stretch while spinning the hat with fists inside. To make it smaller, rotate and gently pull top of crown in opposite direction from bottom edge. |
